Basically, all CRM providers have the same features – the only difference is how they present them. If paying $150/user/month sounds too much, try SuiteCRM. Here are these servants, and their master gives them a certain sum of money, and they all do different things with them (Luke 19:11-27). I personally have found the parable that Jesus tells very helpful in this respect. I think one might say that every believer may look forward to the crown of righteousness, but each crown may be differently shaped. He knows he is justified, but he’s looking forward to receiving the crown of righteousness. Paul, for example, looks forward to receiving the crown of righteousness. The New Testament also teaches that God assesses us as we actually are.įor example, Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:10, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive what is due to us for what we have done in the body.” And there are a number of New Testament passages that indicate, yes, there will be an assessment of our lives. There is an absoluteness about its completeness and finality. There is an absoluteness about the perfection of that righteousness. ![]() ![]() But if you then ask, “Well how is that?” the answer is, “Because the only righteousness with which I’m justified is Jesus Christ’s righteousness.” What that means–if you can begin to take it in–is that when you stand before God you are able to say, “I am as righteous before You as Your Son Jesus Christ.” Now that can sound very arrogant. First of all, let me try and put it this way: When we are justified, we are justified with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. ![]() It should be noted that facial hair can prevent an airtight seal, rendering the capability of this mask to be used as an NBC mask ineffective. There have been additional operating system updates, and the latest as of this review was OS 5.4, which came out in the Summer of 2019. The biggest thing to know about the TI-84 Plus CE OS is that Texas Instruments has continued to support it after the calculator was released. TI-84 Plus C (left) and CE (right) with PLYSMLT2 app PlySmlt2 has always been one of my favorite apps for the TI-84 family, and this is a small but thoughtful touch that shows TI is still thinking about how students use these apps. I think this will really help them understand what the app is doing. Rather than enter coefficients in a matrix for a system or list below the equation for a polynomial, the app now allows students to enter the coefficients right next to the variables. The set of changes I liked the most were a few visual tweaks with the already awesome PlySmlt2 app. and noticed only a few extremely minor differences. When I originally compared the previous generation TI-84 Plus C (a bulkier version of the CE) to the TI-84 Plus CE, I was hard pressed to find many changes in the user interface. TI has actually added the ability to do an upgrade “bundle” by getting the latest version of the OS and all the latest apps at one time. In addition, Texas Instruments has continued to create new versions of virtually all the popular TI-84 apps such as Probability Simulation, Cabri Jr, and the Periodic Table app. In fact, my CE review unit shipped with many popular apps like Finance, Conics, PlySmlt2, and Transfrm. To remedy this, Texas Instruments has issued new versions of all its most popular apps via their website. While it is nearly identical to previous TI-84 models, an important difference is that you can’t transfer apps from older models to a CE. This looks more like the TI-Nspire buttons and gives the CE buttons a modern look. While the physical location of buttons is identical to that of older TI-84 models, the buttons themselves are smaller and rectangles, rather than rounded. At just 7.0 oz, it feels really good in your hands, especially if you are used to older, bulkier graphing calculators. I’ve been calling it the “TI-84 Air.” The CE is the right size and weight to stuff into a book bag or purse without feeling like you are being burdened down by it. However, I can tell you that the difference when you hold it in your hand feels even more significant. Officially, Texas Instruments says it is 30% lighter and slimmer than previous generations of the TI-84 Plus. The biggest change you’re going to notice with this model is the size. What’s Different About the TI-84 Plus CE? Physical Changes Truthfully, a big selling point for the TI-84 Plus CE is for long-time users to pick up a familiar calculator and jump right in with a familiar interface, but getting to do so with hardware that will take you to 2020 and beyond. The arrangement of physical buttons is the same, the menu system is virtually identical, and the you get the same great color screen that the older TI-84 Plus C had. It has been on my list of the best graphing calculators every year since it was released. The 84 CE is new hardware with a new look, but with much in common with its predecessor. Released in 2015, barely one year after the TI-84 Plus C brought color to the 84 family, Texas Instruments rebooted the color line with the TI-84 Plus CE. The most popular graphing calculator model line ever, the TI-84 Plus, has continued to evolve into the late 2010’s. The new TI-84 Plus CE is thinner, lighter, and comes in a rainbow of colors. Still, FaceTime, which debuted with Apple’s iPhone 4 back in 2010, retains some advantages over Duo. But if it gets enough of a following, it could make it easier for iPhone users to at least consider making the move. ![]() Now imagine the Venona team trying to break the code without the benefit of captured Soviet code books or one-time pads. He sends this series of six five-letter words and one five-digit number to Moscow.ħ.where another clerk deciphers it, reversing these steps. The example in Figure 14-2 shows the letter. Finally, he adds a five-digit number, which gives the message a serial number and indicates the date on which it was enciphered. Unless you know the key (the number used to encrypt the message), you wont be able to decrypt the secret code. ![]() They are also a way to explore data representation, and an important part of computational. The clerk appends another five-letter group (corresponding to the next number from the one-time pad) to signal the end of the message. Ciphers are a great way to play with numbers and arithmetic. Next the clerk converts the numerical groups to letter groups, using the formula:Ħ. (For instance, 8 + 6 = 4, not 14, because nothing is carried):ĥ. The key for this cipher is a letter which represents the number. and adds them to the four groups that make up the message, using non-carrying arithmetic. The Caesar cipher shifts all the letters in a piece of text by a certain number of places. Then the clerk takes the next four five-digit groups from the one-time pad. That first number will alert the recipient, who has the same one-time pad, which page of the pad to consult.Ĥ. At the upper-left corner is a number-26473, in this case-which is inserted before the first group in the series: The Caesar Shift Cipher is a simple substitution cipher where the ciphertext alphabet is shifted a given number of spaces. Now the clerk consults a unique “one-time pad.” Each page bears 60 five-digit numbers and is supposed to be used just once. The clerk shifts one digit to the first group from the second, two digits to the second group from the third, and so on, yielding:ģ. An agent hands the text to a cipher clerk, who uses a code book to convert the words to four-digit numbers:Ģ. The best candidate we can find is ‘wtbsfdoesksjd’ it. The message-“Pilot delivered report about rockets”-is hypothetical, but it makes reference to an actual American spy, William Ullmann, an Army officer assigned to the Pentagon, whom the Soviets code-named “Pilot.” A U.S.-based Soviet agent might send this message to Moscow alerting superiors to check the diplomatic pouch for a dispatch from Pilot.ġ. If we can use a computer and a program such as CrypTool 2 (free open-source software available at ), we can use an even more efficient method to break the encrypted advertisement in The Times: we look for a word in the ciphertext that has a distinctive letter pattern. Here’s how it worked, as explained by John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr in their book Venona: Decoding Soviet Espionage in America. To get a hint of the monstrously difficult task undertaken by the Venona code breakers, consider all the elaborate steps that Soviet agents took to encrypt a secret message. ![]() But you can also get some great commander uniques (Liu Biao has all the commander bonuses AND +50% from vassals). Of course, once you're out of the generic realms, it depends on who you're talking about: Zhang Lu has +100% food production Zhou Yu has -10% retinue cost, etc. Speaking purely of generics, commanders are the best leaders/council members (I'd put clerks a close second for their -2 build ability). ![]() ![]() And they are highly likely to get traits that increase public order and satisfaction faction-wide (in addition to having high authority which also increases satisfaction faction-wide). So overall strategists shine best for both admin and assignments the rest depends on your situation (do you have industry, do you need food).Ĭommanders shine for leading factions or being on end-game council: -25% redeployment, +5 faction support, +1 level to all recruits, +1 assignment are 4 faction-wide skills that all are close to each other on a commander's skill tree (and zeal, fire arrows, and mighty knockback aren't far either - making it pretty easy to create a monster leader/fighter). Vanguards have a mustering assignment but I've never found it to be that effective (it says something like -3 mustering turns but long story short it never really works out to -3 mustering turns). Oh, and sentinels all also have a nice assignment that takes off one build turn, which is very useful when initially building a city. Otherwise, sentinels and commanders can have access to +30% industry if they have the skill. Commanders have a pretty lame +50% peasantry that won't be of much use early game and inevitably incurs a -500 bucks penalty (the champion food assignment also tends to get this). Depending on your food situation, all champions have an amazing food buff (+4 food and +50% food production in the commandery). A binding-fury based champion duelist could be a good administrator, as that skill is close to the admin buffs for champions, though I'd still prefer a sentinel or strategist.Īs for assignments, it really depends a lot on which skills are activated, but the best one is probably the +75% commerce/silk/spice one that strategists all have access to. Vanguards are trash administrators, probably same for commanders champions get peasantry and food buffs but they are on the opposite side of the +25% movement/+5% replenishment skills so hard to have it all with a champion administrator. Sentinels do get a nice building cost decrease (as this is based on the purple skill), but given you eventually max out your city build it is only useful for a short period of time. Sentinels do not synergize quite as well with their skill tree - it's still good but if you want Zeal it's completely opposite to the +40/+15 bonuses (they are still close to the sentinel fire arrows skill though). A level 3 strategist can have fire arrows, the debuff, and the +40/15 bonuses (and be within 1 level of having some very nice army-wide bonuses to AP damage, or retinue-specific 25% firing rate). I usually go with strategists as administrators because (a) I use a lot of them, one in every army, so I have more of them that rank up quickly and that I therefore need to keep satisfied with court positions, and (b) their skill tree synergizes well, with must-have strategist skills (fire arrows, the wisdom-of-the-river armor/evasion debuff) being very close to the +40/+15 bonuses on the same side of the skill tree. Strategists also have access to +5 food (I don't believe sentinels have this but I could be wrong). Sentinels and strategists both have access to the +40% commerce/silk/spice and +15% industry, which (IMO) are the main things to aim for with an administrator. Think we missed one?
